The school has its own well-equipped Medical Centre to which the pupils have unlimited access. It is staffed on a twenty-four hour basis by qualified nurses who can deal with illness or accidents. In the case of a more serious accident, a girl would be taken to the Royal Lancaster Infirmary or Westmorland General Hospital in Kendal.

The School Doctor holds a surgery twice a week - more often when necessary, and the Medical Centre has several comfortable bedrooms for girls who require an extended stay.

In addition to the medical care offered by the school, parents are invited to take out private medical cover for their daughters, via the BUPA Schools Scheme. This cover gives parents added peace of mind while their children are away from home.
