Admissions

For entry into Casterton Senior School, all applicants should complete a registration form which should be returned, along with a passport size photograph and the registration fee of £100 (UK) / £150 (Overseas), to Mrs Alison Clowes, Admissions Registrar.

For entry into Year 7 your daughter will be assessed in Mathematics, Science, English (Creative Writing, Spelling & Comprehension) and Verbal Reasoning.

If your daughter wishes to join in Year 8 or 9, the assessment will be in Maths, English, Verbal Reasoning and a modern foreign language.

If she wishes to join us in Year 10 to sit GCSEs the following year, she will sit an entrance exam in Maths, English and a Language.

These assessments can be done on the formal assessment day or at any other convenient time, subject to places being available. Overseas students may also sit the assessment either at their current school, with their permission, or at one of our delegated agents. Please contact us for details.

Sixth Form entry

UK girls wishing to join the Sixth Form are required to have a minimum of 5 GCSEs and to have achieved a B or better in the subjects being continued at A Level.

A report from your daughter’s current school will also be sought. Overseas girls wishing to join the Sixth Form will be assessed in Maths, EFL and a paper from their chosen subjects. A report from their current school will also be sought.

Offers and Acceptances

Offers can be made at any time following the completion of our entrance examination. If an offer of a place is made, it will be accompanied by an acceptance form that you will need to complete and return to us with the deposit as shown on the fees schedule. If you do not accept the place by the allocated date, then it will be made available to any late entry candidates.

Lacrosse Champions

The backdrop of fells provided a superb setting for the North Small Schools’ Lacrosse Tournament which was held at Casterton School last Sunday 22nd January.
