Sport plays a very large part in the educational development of pupils at Casterton Prep School. The School has its own Director of Sport who is supported by other specialist staff. The School also has a programme of International coaches in hockey and swimming throughout year.
For pupils under 8, the curriculum is based on movement, swimming, hockey, football, netball and tennis. The Prep School has access to the astroturf and athletics as well as to the tennis courts, and swimming pool. The sharing of the facilities enables the Prep School to offer its pupils a standard of facilties that most prep schools including those without a senior school would not be able to offer.
Sport is played throughout the week. Fixtures are played weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays in Years 5 and 6. We play a variety of other prep schools and local primary schools. The sports fixtures ensure that girls attending Casterton Senior School in Year 7 are well versed in the sports played and the fixture set up.
