Pony Club

The Pony Club is an International youth organisation for young people interested in ponies and riding. Founded in England in 1929, there are around 345 branches and 600 centres in the U.K. alone. The Pony Club has been the starting point for a large majority of equestrian team members and medal winners. It is the largest association of young riders in the world.

Centres

In 1998 the centre membership scheme was launched for those without their own pony who ride at riding schools to become members and take part in Pony Club activities.

Casterton School stables is an official Pony Club Centre. We offer members the opportunity to work towards badges and proficiency tests. The Pony Club training structure encourages members to learn progressively about horse and pony care and riding.

The annual cost of joining the Pony Club is £22, which is paid directly to the Pony Club. As a member of the Pony Club your child is automatically covered for Personal (Third Party) Liability arising from equestrian activities. They will recieve 2 newsletters a year with membership information.

For more information about the benefits of joining The Pony Club you can visit their website at www.pcuk.org. Centre membership forms are available from the Riding Department.
