Activities
The Sixth Formers are able to join in with activities scheduled for the whole school in the 4.30-5.30 weekday slot. However, there are also numerous Sixth Form specific activities including:
- Sixth Form Wine appreciation Society where the girls sample and learn about wines from around the world.
- Medical Society which prepares the girls for a medical application e.g. visits to local mountain rescue stations, work experience at the local surgery.
- The Amnesty group which campaigns for the release of political prisoners.
- Senior International Committee which aims to promote awareness of different cultures.
- Ecoschool Committee who have achieved the Silver Award and are working towards the Green Flag.
- Oxbridge preparation group which helps girls to select the appropriate College, read around their subjects to gain depth of knowledge and prepare for interview.
- Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award with expeditions in the Lake District.
- Senior musical which is Evita this year. Choral Society which gives an annual public performance. Senior choir and elite Phoenix choir.
- Private Tennis lessons with professional coach.
- Lamda drama lessons working towards the Gold Medal.
- Private music lessons.
- Stocks and shares group where girls compete to gain the highest value portfolio.
Public speaking and debating, including internal and external competitons.

New International Summer School
Overseas students can now enjoy a fun and intensive course at Casterton School this August. ‘English 100’ is for male and female students aged 12-17 whatever their level of English-speaking ability, and provides 100 hours of English study during the three-week course.

Not all was what it seemed during a recent buffet held at the School in aid of Operation Wallacea!
