The Art Department, housed in the spacious and award winning Art Centre, has dedicated and enthusiastic teachers who are specialists and practitioners in print, painting, textiles and ceramics.
The skills available in the department and the input from visiting artists enable girls to study a broad range of disciplines including life drawing.
Students are always encouraged to aim high and consistently achieve A* and A grades in public examinations.
Each year girls progress to study on the most prestigious UK university courses, taking a wide variety of subjects from Architecture and Fine Art to Fashion and Design.
The Department takes an explorative approach to learning, with an emphasis on individual ideas and creative thought. This approach gives the students transferable skills that can be successfully applied to other areas of study and in the work place.
All Casterton girls are welcome to enjoy art as part of a busy and exciting extra-curricular programme during the week and at weekends.
