Admissions

Casterton Nursery

Children may be admitted at the start of the term during which they become three years of age.

The Preparatory School accepts the government free nursery entitlement which equates to five 3 hour nursery sessions per week for 33 weeks.

(Reception and Years 1 & 2)

For entry into Casterton Preparatory School, all applicants should complete a registration form which should be returned, along with a passport size photograph and the registration fee of £100 (UK) / £150 (Overseas), to Mrs Alison Clowes, Admissions Registrar.

(Years 3 – 6)

Children normally progress within the school from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 2 subject to satisfactory performance in Key Stage 1 tests at age 7. A report from their previous school may be sought and a more formal test will be administered to all children applying for admission from other establishments after the age of eight. This is in conjunction with an assessment made by the Head of the Prep School at the child’s pre-entry visit.
